Los Angeles County High School for the
Arts (LACHSA).

have gotten lead roles in school musicals,
have won numerous band achievement awards
in their respective schools, rock bands
and jazz ensembles, and most importantly
they have grown and developed as musicians
and people.

Our
faculty members are graduates of USC’s
Thornton School of Music, California Institute
of the Arts, Peabody Conservatory and
many other prestigious institutions.

faculty have performed on countless recordings,
film and television soundtracks, the Academy,
Emmy and Grammy Awards broadcasts.

Our
faculty have worked and/or performed with
the Los Angeles and San Francisco Symphony
Orchestras, the Los Angeles Master Chorale,
among many other major classical ensembles;
Jazz artists such as Wayne Shorter, Dianna
Krall, Dave Douglas, Tom Harrell, Tooti
Heath and Herbie Hancock; and Rock, Blues
and Popular Music artists including Justin
Timberlake, Albert King, Frank Zappa,
John Lennon, John Legend, Alicia Keys,
James Brown, Chaka Kahn and Psychic TV
among many others.
